PART 1 - MYTH, MEANING AND VISION

Myth makes meaning by converting experience into narrative forms that can help relieve anxiety and fears; but also reveal hidden knowledge and vital paths of awakening. We are mythic by nature and each of us carries the thread of a unique plotline trying to unfold from within. By seeing our own story through the lens of myth we can gain a psychological and poetic grasp of our own lives and the events of the world.

In times of crisis the story of the soul tries to break through and become more conscious. Each time we align with the inner thread of our soul we can experience an awakening of imagination and a renewal of the flow of life energy.

PART 2 - RITUAL, HEALING AND TRANSFORMATION

Until modern times, people have relied on ritual practices to heal the wounds of culture, draw upon the renewing energies of nature and rejuvenate the life of both individuals and the community. Creative rituals help us to release the burdens of our hearts and souls, while restoring our natural sense of continuity with life.

In times of crisis rituals of healing and restoration become essential for sustaining a meaningful sense of self. Healing rituals connect the mind and heart in ways that can reduce the sense of fear and anxiety and ease the grief of isolation. Restoration rituals restore precisely those energies that have been worn out in the struggles of life.

Transformative rituals break time open and connect us to timeless things that help remove ego attitudes that block the flow of feeling and vital energy. In drawing upon the primal elements of nature and the inspiration of spirit we can access spontaneous sources of healing, vision and renewal for both the individual and the community.
