From before birth our souls carry the embryonic seeds of a life-long project that can only be denied at great personal cost. Myth can mean “emergent truth” and each birth story involves hints of the inner truths and life purpose trying to awaken within us. Where we open ourselves to mythic imagination we become able to perceive, not just the inside story, but also the meanings behind the pain and confusion in our lives.

In the often turbulent interior of our souls the seeds of imagination and healing wait to be nourished. Meanwhile, what marks our lives, for better or worse, can be deciphered, decoded and learned from. For, our greatest gifts hide where our deepest wounds reside.

We are hunting our fate and we are also pursued by it. The questions become: what task or issue must we consciously face in order to free our vital energies? Who or what shapes the threshold of change before us at this critical time? How do we surrender to the path our soul would take? What does our destiny call for us to do?
