You don't know me,
you don't know my struggle.
The way I see it, you live one life;
you get one chance and
we're blinded from the first mistake.

My school is a drull and I'm not a fool.
My mom and teachers say I am capable;
if I have so much creativity
why should I have a curfew?
Freedom must exist but,
I'm not able to use it at this point.
Internal beating is what I get.

I'm not the one to blame
and life is not a game.
But, we're not here to criticize,
we're here to strategize.
If you're a puppet you could always cut your strings.
It's better to have integrity then be a puppet.
If the game is in the pain,
Try your best anyway,
the game and the pain may lead to fame.

In love With Love

Everyone is busy falling in love
with the glitter and the glam;
too blind to see the real colors.
Listen, not everything that glitters is gold.
Everyone is living in a New York minute,
trying to find beauty and in the process they die.
Your mind thinks it knows best,
yet you don't pass the test for real beauty.
Your heart is more mature than what you think
Don't underestimate it.
Stop! Don't rush and don't fall in love with love.
Just relax and listen to the heavens.
You'll find true love.

Fighting Life's End

As this day comes to an end,
as the next is about to begin,
I look at myself and wonder what will come then.
I wonder if that peaceful life will ever arrive.
Before darkness comes once again,
I pray to god for mercy.
If darkness might strike once more
and take this one for a win.
I also pray that god don't give up on me,
for my life can't be at its end.
I might get a life sentence,
but my life ain't at its end...
My spirit will wait for the freedom
that is soon to come;
for that freedom will bring peacefulness,
when my life's end does come.

Listen to the Voices

Listen to the voices of youth,
spilling ink on the paper to tell the truth,
the truth about life & love
and all of the above;
About breaking the cycle & old traditions,
living life with righteousness
and making good decisions.
Observe the flowers that grew from the concrete,
never knew such beauty can rise from the cement.
You are not writing things that don't make sense,
It all came from the heart,
so its going to mean what it meant.
